Beginning Weigh-in: March 10, 2026, 6:00-7:00 pm @ L&M Livestock

Suggested weight 900-1000 pounds

Bill of Sale is required at the time of weigh-in. Brand inspector will be on hand.

Final Weigh-in: Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 6:30-7:30 pm @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Final weight must be a minimum of 1150 pounds and must have an Average Daily Gain of a minimum of 2 pounds per day, gaining a minimum of 314 pounds during the feeding period of 157

days.

 A 4% shrink will deducted from each animals final weight to determine the sale weight. 

Market Goat

Beginning Weigh-in: May 21, 2026, 6:00-6:30 pm @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Suggested weight 40-50 pounds

Final Weigh-in: Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Final weight must be a minimum of 70 pounds and must have an Average Daily Gain (ADG) of a minimum of .3 pounds per day, gaining a minimum of 25 pounds during the feeding period of 85 days. A 3% shrink will be deducted from the final weight to determine the sale weight. 

Rabbits: Market Pen of Three

Beginning weigh in: June 29, 2026 at 6:00-6:30 at the Jefferson County Fair grounds.

Final Weigh in: August 11, 2026 at 10:00-11:00 am at the Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Each rabbit must weigh between 3 and 6 pounds. Any rabbit weighing above or below weights will disqualify the pen from sale. Pen of three will be sold as a pen with the total weight displayed in the sale order.

SHEEP: 

Beginning Weigh-in: May 21, 2026, 6:30-8:00 pm @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Suggested weight 70-90 pounds.

Final Weigh-in: Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 12:00-1:00 pm @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Final weight must be between 110-160 pounds and must have an Average Daily Gain (ADG) of a minimum of 0.5 pounds per day, gaining a minimum of 42 pounds during the feeding period of 85 days.

Animals weighing more than 160 pounds will be sold at 160 pounds; excess weight will be your loss. A 3% shrink will be deducted from the final weight to determine the sale weight. 

HOGS: 

Beginning Weigh-in: April 30, 2026, 6:00-8:00 pm @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds

Suggested weight is 70-90 pounds.

Final Weigh-in: Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 7:00-9:30 am @ Jefferson County Fair Grounds.

Final weight must be between 240-320 pounds and must have an Average Daily Gain (ADG) of a minimum of 1.5 pounds per day, gaining a minimum of 154 pounds during the feeding period of 103 days.

Hogs weighing over 320 will NOT be eligible for sale.
